Louise was in the hospital for a long time.
I can imagine that she would miss her church friends. Hopefully, they will come and visit her at home because I can't see how you could get her in and out of the car.
Disorientation is a bit of a worry. Hopefully, she's over all that now.
It must be nice to have her at home again.
Now, you will have to care for her and do all the housework.

Well you are partly right. We are using Wheelchair taxi to get around atm. I mentioned a lady at church is offering to pay for the special vehicle we need. Pray the Government will finance the conversion needed. I may write some more about that later. We have got to church for 2 weeks now or maybe three. A lovely Muslim chap from Pakistan is our regular Wheelchair taxi driver. Pray we can be a witness to him. 17 more reviews to look at this morning hehe.

Another well written report on your situation. I pray things are much better now for your wife, and also for you. God seems to always be there when we need him, well he says he never leaves us. God bless you for your faithfulness, and I know you realize every blessing even when times seem very rough. God bless brother, you are a good example to others.

A very well-written chapter. After all the inconvenience it all seems to come to an end. Now Louise is at home it spares the daily trip to the hospital and back. But a be routine awaits.

It's been a while since I last saw a post from you. I'm glad to see that you're well.
It sounds like your life is full.
From a writing stand point, I'd advise that you stay on the plot of your story. From a freinds perspective I'd say I enjoy your prattling on.
Thanks for sharing

Thanks Gene I am , after all the "Tangent Man" same as Michael Cahill if you have read any of his stuff. He seems to be sticking with poetry these days. I have honoured him and his support in my early days on FS with a poem. Let me know if interested. Appreciate your review Number 12 of 19 this m=rning.

I am so glad Louise is home and you are finally able to get some rest. The permanent lift. Will it be on a ceiling track to the bathroom? Some of them do that and then allow you to transfer the person into a wheelchair/scooter anywhere along the line. I hope you are able to continue your story. I have enjoyed reading it.

Thankjs Sis this was the final part of this saga but I can see possibilities for more now she is home. The ceiling hoist will be by her bed and for the time being will be for transfer from bed to either wheel chair or Commode for toilet or shower. But other options are on the table as well. Lord bless and thanks.

When one is disabled
One has to make amends
Bed times changes
Are just part of the ritual
***
There is little one can do when they age. If one is lucky, they get an experience care giver.

This is another hassle that used to make me feel so humiliated:
At the hospital, in the Rehab area, where Louise now was, we had to be "let in and out" as they have "wanderers" in her Ward as well. I reckoned they could have arranged special "swipe" cards for regular visitors. Trouble is, the staff passes probably don't come set up for specific areas of the hospital. I guess they would not want visitors to the Rehab area to have "carte blanche" access to all the secure areas of the complete establishment!
And thank God the hours of the Carers have been sorted.
You're still in my prayers, Sankey.
