Hahaha.... I love your script. I love the name "Pepe" too. It's my father's name but that is not why I love it. I like the sound. It's also the name of the White Supremacist' s mascot, Pepe the Nazi frog.
Good job sweetie pie. I am sorry I'm out of sixes. This deserves it.
Luv ya

I really love your children`s stories,Michael. They are always great fun and I know kids would find them delightful. This little duck is adorable. I know you would NOT kill him. Hehehe. Please finish this one, okay? I am into it. NG

My dog would devour any flavor of Cesar dog food but duck.
Hope the old man knows the best way to cook duck is roast it
for about thirty minutes, basting with the juices. Seriously, I think this is exactly what the challenge was calling for.

It will be hard to wait to see what happens to Pepe. I'm sure he got away.
Only children can hear him. I like that. Those adults young at heart can hear him, too.
You met the challenge very well, I think.
I'm waiting anxiously for the rest of the story. 8-)

No livestock allowed(.),
Actions have consequences I read somewhere. I don't know what it means, but I sure have a lot of kids. Anyway ... school, you say. Yes, that would be the minnow pond just over the hill there. A fine school to my understanding. Many a young man attends there and older men too, brushing up I suppose.
I loved this - and as always marvel at your ability to make it so vivid.
Best,
Apky

You didn't kill the little duck, did you? I'm hoping that since Pepe knew what the cocking of a trigger meant, he ran!
Wonderful bit of fantasy. I loved the dialogue and the indignation of the little duck.
Looking forward to the continuation,

Hi, Patty
I'm terrible at answering reviews, but I HAD to answer you right away. LOL
NO, I didn't kill the little duck. To be honest, I can't kill ANY of my characters unless they're really awful. I wrote a short story one time that turned into a book because I couldn't bring myself to kill the main character. :))
Glad you enjoyed. Thanks so much for the kind words and all of your lovely reviews. I do read and appreciate all of them. :)) Mike

thank you, Mike. I wondered about your replies - as in 'where were they?' But, now I know the answer to that question. I'm glad to know I won't have to read about the little duck dying - it would break my heart, as well as Howie and Bernie's. (Yes, I read all the poems, stories and scripts to them to get their opinions.)

I guess things are not right in the duck's world. But, Hell, things are not right in the real world either. Good luck in your contest. Very interesting story.
