Ah, the wonder of watching the clouds flow by while laying on your back in a field of green clover. Your haiku gives me the feel of a lazy summer day. The 17 syllables bring up lots of emotion - mostly joy.

Gypsy,
I love the first two lines of this poem! The imagery you've created here is absolutely amazing - it's such a perfect analogy. The third line seems to be more of a statement than an insightful moment, though. But that's just my opinion, of course. *smile* Thanks for sharing!

Thank you very much. I appreciate your review and kind words. I understand your feedback. The satori is engaging some people but not all, that is okay.

What a lovely haiku! Comparing clouds to molasses was a lovely idea.
I also like watching them and trying to guess what kind of shape they have.
Lovely pic as well.

ps, HSA is going to publish my haiku :) I just got the news. I sent ten, they chose six, but didn't say which one they are publishing from the six. They do that to you? I ask them but they haven't responded yet.

I wouldn't know. I've never had anything published. Congratulations anyway. It's great news.

Nothing seems to hurry in the summer, and even time seems to pass more slowly. Simply observe and listen to the phenomena around us.

Good haiku. It reminds me of lazy summer days just drifting by very easily. Today is a very rainy day. The clouds seem to not move at all cause they are all rainy clouds.

A very well-written haiku. The whole presentation is great. Our summer clouds are looking similar to the picture. Ite is sometimes interesting to look at the clouds and watch them change form, sometimes there are recognizable faces or items in the shadow and light of the clouds.

I don't know why, but this just cracked me up to beat the band. I'm guessing because it suited me to a tee and I related totally to it. That satori is such a surprise and sooooooo familiar, I'm betting almost everyone burst out laughing. Yep, they do move slow and that one looks like a horsey. :))
This is publishable I'm guessing. Irish hugs, mike
By the way, thanks for your wonderful unacknowledged support. Here's a teeny bit of acknowledgement. I DO read every word and it encourages me greatly. Thanks so much. :)) xxoo

You are welcome but that is what friends do and I am also your fan. I celebrate all your wins. Today I found out some of my haiku were selected by the haiku society of America to be published. I had my share of rejections so this came as a pleasant surprise :) they are tough cookies. Thank you for reading and reviewing my work. I am glad you saw the humor.

CONGRATS!!! That's where you belong. Most of the folks here don't know the difference ... YET. But they're learning, thanks to you. :)) mike

Haijin-Sensei,
This is a real subject that offers plenty of reader interaction from their experience of gazing skyward. Many men on Monday may mention <-(yes, I know, an incredible alliteration of M apropos of nothing) that clouds move fast, or change shapes, or are not clouds at all but contrails. Few understand and believe they are chemtrails. What is a chemtrail? The government, every government, flies jets above the passenger jet range and releases different chemicals to rain down on us. Yes, another bonafide rip-roaring constipated conspiracy. Wait, wait...oh, yeah, your review.
Good one. Bye.

Gypsy did you ever see the movie, Never ending story? Well that cloud formation looks like it has the Luck dragon in it.
Is it a cheap pastime watching clouds move? or is it a cheap pastime for the clouds to move so slow? lol
either way I like it and I love the photo
