Yes, I hope you do, as I like it and think others do too. We all have busy lives that interfere, but we can write during the lulls in that.

One suggestion for this post: In the last stanza, line 2, a comma would be appropriate between "essay" and "be" (and the pause it produces helps there too).

Nice to see something from you again, Marijke.

I think that every writer can relate so well to this poem. We all seem to go through periods of time wherein we want to write, but nothing will come to us. Our muse just isn't there. It's always a joy and a relief when our muse returns.

I especially like your ending "but I'm sure I'll write again ... for better or for worse". LOL ... yes, we don't care. We're just happy when we can write again. :-)

It is great to have you back and I know your muse will return soon. They always take an unplanned break and then show up when you least expect them. Lovely work with this poem... something I have no talent for.

I am glad your Muse came to help you write this verse. This is an appealing poem about overcoming writer's block. Your poem is well-rhymed and is spoken in an urgent voice. Poem has a Waiting for Godot aspect as the poet waits for inspiration instead of acts in the hear and now to:

"write again - whatever form
Be it essay be it verse."

I see inspiration all around me and am not waiting for an outside Muse to inspire me.

I am glad you returned to FanStory. Now keep writing. Thank you for sharing.
