Hi Patty, you did a great job writing this. I've had a lot of different jobs too. I think we learn and grow from each one.

I think many of us have had a lot of different jobs - I certainly have. My impression was not that you were a flake that hopped from job to job, but that you had interesting jobs that you enjoyed, including a successful business that you built. I wish that I could retire at 55 (1.5 years from now)!

Thank you for reading and reviewing. I so appreciate your comments and encouragement. Sometimes I feel like it would've been more stable to keep that 'one job,' but then again, I learned so much!

You did a wonderful job of sharing your work experience with us. You made secretarial work, and accounting sound exciting, which you can tell it was for you. You explained it in an interesting and enjoyable way.
Thank you for sharing,
Rhonda

Patty, that was a good structured write. You are definitely not a flake. I would feel the same way, (scared to post it- still am)I myself probably had over 100 in my lifetime. You did similar jobs as I, such as accounting, waitress, etc. I look at it this way, with knowledge in so many areas, and interactions with people; You are probably a lot more intelligent then the basic 9-5'er with 1 single job for um-plus years. You are an entrepreneur.
Best wishes to you, being a good mommy is #1 :)

Thank you for reading and reviewing. I appreciate your candor in admitting to over 100 jobs, too. I'd like to think that you are right - it has been a much richer life having known so many people. I don't think I could've hacked being in one place with little challenge for 40 years!

I agree, Best of luck to you Patty.

It sounds to me like you had a very diverse job career although mostly in the accounting field. I have 3 daughters and they all work in the accounting field, the oldest works as a CPA for a private firm in Phoenix, the second is a bookkeeper for a dairy in Kansas and the youngest has a masters degree in accounting and works for Lockheed Martin in Ft. Worth TX. Most of my working age years were spent as a stay at home mother and was the best job I ever had. Patricia

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. It sounds like there is an accounting gene in your family! You are right - being a stay at home mom was the very best!

You sound like one sharp cookie to me. I think your decisions grew you up to a really good place in this world. You sound like you'd be good no matter what job you set your cap on! (My, that's an old expression!) It just popped out of the blue. You've taken a good inventory of yourself now. I'm very impressed with the way you've handled it. Thanks for posting.

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. Your encouraging words make me glad I put this all on paper. I certainly feel a lot better about my 'jaded past.' LOL

Well, Miss Patty, I'll put my jaded past up against yours any day! Dr. has given me 2 pos--and I've been busy for a year repenting! Still feel the need, but have to stand on faith from hereon out, and remember that Jesus has already forgiven us. GHW

This was very interesting, Party. I love that you went to people's homes to do their tax returns. You built up an impressive clientele. Out of curiosity, since you are such a fast typist do you write with pen and paper or on your keyboard?
Thanks for sharing your work history.

Hi; thank you for reading and reviewing. In answer to your question, I usually write prose on the computer, but I pen poetry with paper before transferring to the word processor.
