the wild sea crashing against the cliffs
roaring loudly as each white horse
tumbles and unfurls its majestic wave
swirling tirelessly through time ... these are fabulous lines
And these ...
the mistress of the night enters into view
a beaming orb shimmering all aglow
smiling across the harbor .... loved them
Hello Mary,
As I began to read, I thought ... "This is a poem about Ireland ..."
I was delighted to see I was right when I got to the author notes.
Beautiful free verse. Spectacular imagery. You created a breathtaking, vivid picture in my mind.
So sorry I don't have a six. xxxxxx (6)

The imagery you describe, especially of the moon,
is so sensitive. I felt transported to this beautiful
part of our world and was able to experience the
magic of the night.
A wonderful free verse. I will, on this rare occasion,
be entering this contest, as I sense many others will
also. I just wish I had a six for this wonderful piece. -Bill

Really enjoyed this beautiful poem about a place you love, it sounds like it gave you a lot of inspirational ideas as the lines here suggest. So many lovely lines throughout...I particularly enjoyed.....tumbles and unfurls its majestic wave.
Very well done

Yes, nature is our spiritual teacher. Your descriptions of Cahore are so detailed and vivid that I feel like I am there. You strung together stunning snapshots of a place in spring. You free verse flows smoothly and shimmers. Thank you for sharing. I wish you success in the contest.

'opened my eyes to magic, became my spiritual teacher'...what a lovely thing to say about a place!! How I would love to go here too! I love how you describe the moon as 'mistress of the night.' Just beautiful, blessings...

Hi Mary,
what a truly beautiful and delightful visual poem... I just sat restfully... reading, watching and enjoying every scene play out.
Yes, a truly enchanted village in the indelible of one's memory.
A wonderfully descriptive composition with a flow-on construction that allowed the mind to follow through a beautiful use of imagery.
All the very best wishes in this free verse contest my friend... this is a very worthy entrant that I enjoyed reading very much.
With our thoughts we create,
a melodic scene.
