I have always found the geisha girl gracious and humble looking . What is the tradition of a geisha girl? is she like an escort for a man in traditional Japanese culture?

Thank you, Dr Dip :) Geishas are entertainers and highly educated in all forms of art. Some include sexual entertainment to their repertua but it's they choose. I am conflicted about this issue. But I am not Japanese so I can't posssibly fully understand what it's about.

I am becoming more and more of a fan of the traditional haiku, Gypsy. I really like this one which focuses on the lotus flower. Nice use of S-alliteration and consonance to enhance the mood. Rod
