Mystic elves know of the land beyond the forest green. It's where to seek their dear sweet queen. Thanks for a delightful poem. Keep writing

What a fun poem! It made me think of the fairy tales I love so much. I wonder what happened to the Queen... Did she just leave? Did somebody take her?
Thanks for sharing.

This is such a complicated form and I think, that I can not truly appreciate the hard work in it. But I like Fairy Queens as I am married to one. And the books on my shelves are uncountable and some need to be touched more. Wishes, Kai

Let's see, there's King and Queen, and a smaller chair with lots of cushions-I believe it's the little princess that's missing. I think you have adhered to the Kyrielle form and written an excellent poem.

Hi Luna,
Of course, (as you more than often already know, all the magic in the universe which is then transformed into the elements of your own individual verse both begins and ends all at once with you. Else how would you have raised Mickey from the boy into the man he was into your guardian angel he's become now?
Reminds me of 'White Rabbit' by Jefferson Airplane and a few of the early Pink Floyd singles from their days/daze with Syd Barrett in the band.
Here's a better analogy; ever read Christina Rossetti's 'Goblin Market?'
This piece might make you your own queen of the goblinfolk.
I use the term 'goblin' as a description of tragedy into transformation along your life's path which you transform into poetry.
Ever grateful,
Shane

Hi, Shane, And it ends with you and Mickey, and every soul on the planet. I was just listening to old "Airplane" songs this morning, I swear I'm not kidding. I love Volunteers! Good morning, people!
I understand about your use of goblin...and it is I that am grateful for you, Shane.

Avery well-written poem. Your well-chosen words flow easily combining and forming their own unique rhythm. They continue to flow and combine easily forming the message of the poem for the reader.

Luna,
I enjoyed your poem. Good job on its style. Your repeating line fits in smoothly. The flow is great. Good job on the rhymes, too.
The picture looks very medieval--which is good. Reminds me of Robin Hood.
Good job & thanks for sharing. Jan

Of all the styles I know of but never us the sonnet is the most recognized by me, I liked the easy read, the reading of this poem gave a full view of the message the stanza were as complete as though they were each a poem that I would rate excellent on there own worth.

This has a very mystical feel to it. The rhyme is well done, although I think the poem should be longer. I think that would enhance that mystic feel.

I'm glad that you enjoyed the poem and the rhyme. However, with a Kyrielle Sonnet, the form requires the poet to stick to three quatrains and one couplet.
I know what you mean, though...sometimes I'm mad when I get to the end of a book because I want to read more of the story!
Yours,
luna.

Well, what I like most about this poem is the whole story that's left UNSAID. *smile* Who knows what's happened to this queen of the elves? But we do know that she was loved and revered. We know that she was the one who used those books and without her they seem to sit unused upon those shelves. --sigh--
Thanks!

Well, I'm happy that you enjoyed this one, Robyn. Yes, where is she? No one knows, and no magick will be performed until she comes back...
Thanks for this kind review.
