This looks like a proper nonet, to my jaundiced and untutored eye. I mighta said
Our Pilgrim legacy for the six syllable line. Or maybe not. Excellent entry.

Thanks. Appreciate all your comments. On Thanksgiving Day, we go around the table and everyone says what they're thankful for, and inevitably someone says they're thankful for the pilgrim's progress, so this might just be an inside-the-family type joke. Cheers ... ;o)

Not one of our traditions here in NZ, but you seem to have summed up Thanksgiving fairly well in this nonet. There will be plenty of politics to discuss this time round. Let's hope it's matched by the turkey, the football and the pie!
Good luck.

Thanks. Yep, this is a strictly an American tradition/holiday - lots of turkey, stuffing, etc. ending with some kind of pie - pumpkin, mince, pecan, etc. Yes - politics will be on the table to liven up conversation. For those who've eaten too much, they can watch the NFL football games. Afterwards, there will be Christmas lighting ceremonies - and thus, a new season begins. We're entertaining 18 guests this year, so ... an interesting and active day, for sure. Appreciate your comments. Cheers .... ;o)
