So, are we to assume that you will be having a slimy slumble in the very near future then, Mary?
Sounds interesting, I wish I could attend.
Best wishes to you in the contest,
~Dean

Ha! We often see them on our concrete steps and screen doors here! Nasty little markings they leave behind. I love the fact that you and the slugs will have a rumble. Caught myself laughing over this one.
God bless and best wishes in the contest,.

The slime trailing can be dangerous if one doesn't move cautiously. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

Superb expression of the frustration these little critters cause. Even worse when they attack a flowering veggie patch.
Best line
I found their graffiti all over the place at dawn's first light.
Love the imagery of graffiti.

A perfect quadrant showing the any element of nature can inspire poetry. We gave these pesky crawlers in northern California. Last year they ate my morning glories to the ground in one night. Neighbors say to put beer in a disposable our tin. They love it and drink their slimy little selves to death.
