You captured my attention from the start.
This poem is very deep
I pray others get the message in-between those meaningful lines.
Your words truly touch my heart
two members in my family is try to beat that ride.

Well...yea....Hi Miss Cookie...-smile-
it happens to me too when passing storefront windows. haha...just kidding. yes Maam it is...very. but I'm not um using or explaining it literally, the high found from drug use...but metaphorically that feeling captured complete once and ah searched for thereafter. thats why I incorporated the bull riding...the seven seconds of glorious I won....-smile-...anyway...as we've said its deep...-smile-...love you up Michael
Peace God be with you.

The words bombard one like fragments of broken glass. One can see enough sense reflected in them to make it worth trying to re-assemble the mirrored meaning. Interesting, but it takes time to grasp.

yes they do...thank you....there supposed to.
because thats how most experience comes to life, in my opinion and certainly most of my poetic expression. I was relating rodeo and ah that which was ...is...most adored um most precious to any of us I suppose. the rush always chased ever after, to a great love. I am not one who wants to write in established, conformed manner....I can ...but its like work...its restrictive and confining...I dont enjoy it...nor can I fully express myself imprisoned by them. where did they come from I wonder...certainly the first songs and Psalms where not dissected down to their very bump bumps....I really dont care how many syllables ...move me from here to there...nor if the meter is perfect by some -handtwirl- one who said it should one day. fact is a lot of that meter stuff has been used to torture people for many years now....there's a growing opposition to any more suffering...so...could be civil war soon. anyway hope youre on the right side. love Michael

you know I listened to that song at first...and disliked it immensely. but ...deeper had already heard. I love you...for loving me enough to understand and to truly want whats best for me. thats the kind of love that sticks closer than a brother....and I certainly need that. I have to try. love you michael

was that so hard ???...and I do understand...even when you think I don't...I know your heart...I know you...I see you...I love you as well...always...xxxooo Linda
I don't like every song Keith sings...but I do like some...a lot...

You certainly included a wide range of images from circular "horseshoe" to the "forked tongue" and "gun" to "skips my stone". Here's to getting back to "Grass Root"! Smiles and happy Sunday- Joan

This takes me to many venues. Some are familiar and others are merely conjecture for myself. 'Monkey back' is quite telling to myself that is adorned with false promises that 7 minutes just might get you 7 years.

Again, you have produced such a profound and true poem here. I love the first and repeat last stanza as that is the crux of the piece. Bravo, and thanks for using words in such a unique and pleasurable way! I would give it a sixth star if I had one left, but hey it's junky Saturday!
