A very well-written poem about your concern of the outcome of the tests to be done on the lump. I hope it will be the outcome you wish for in this case.

I pray that it all goes well with you with the surgery, and that they will find nothing but a benign mass. Sometimes I think the biggest battles are fought in our lives against an enemy that was never there. I pray this for you, my friend,
Take care,
Rhonda

AMEn Sister I pray you are right. The lady who said it is probably benign is a retired pharmacist so I hope she is right too. I have some other similar things on my skin but pray they won't advanced to anything further.

Thank you for sharing. I am glad this medical scare turned out all right in the end. My constructive criticism would be that your meter is a bit rough in places. If you were to smooth your meter out, I'll bet you'll be pleased with the result.

Ouch! Thank looks painful? How long do you have to live with it before they take care of it?
-
*That looks painful is what I meant...my keyboard was having a stroke...(get it?)
-
Hey most of my typos are due to a crazy caps lock.No worries.
-
Waiting till October 17th thanks. Hopefully, there might be a cancellation before then. I did smooth the metre out you may have already seen.

Geoff, this is a nice poetic thought about something that could have been very seriou. Hopefully all is fine and you will recover completely. Patricia

The very best of luck with that nasty lump. Very worrying for you, for anybody actually.
It's good that you can take the time to write about it like this. You've wrapped it in ironic humour which is never a bad way to approach worries over which you have limited control.
Twice burned off by Nitrogen
And promised I'll not be Dead....here the humour is on the edge of 'black comedy'. And even though it may be a statement of fact, that's how it reads to me as I tackle your review.
This waiting, waiting for removal
Oh what can I do? ... The simple listing of the question shows that anxiety is behind the moment and the words.
Turns out, after its removal
I wake up, and it's fine. ... nice rhyme with 'benign'. Here's the hopefulness of the poem and that's a perfect way to finish.
I hope my mention of humour isn't misplaced as I know you could read this as a straight expression of frustration over the procedure, but I prefer to think you were just getting it off your chest/head with a mix of laughter and emotion.
