I believe John Kenned was America's las statesman. What hope and promise he brought to a beleaguered country. I was just a child, in eight grade when the school intercom announced that he had been shot. There was not a dry eye in the room or the nation. No one was a Demarcate or Republican that day. We were all just Americans.

me too...just kid.
but I remember...seems like everything went steady down hill after that day in Dallas. He was a "maverick" was going going and planned on going further against the establishment. the same self proclaimed and governed establishment that assassinated him....lets finally admit what we all know already. Tom I have no faith left in any establishment groomed savior...like you I've been watching since John. thanks man. love Michael

My brother a Secret service Agent when Kennedy was assonated, He believed Johnson had a had in it. One of his first duties was to dive in a lake on Johnson's farm and chain a briefcase to an anchor.
My brother was shot in the back of the head.

always thought it odd how he wouldn't seek or accept another nomination for the Presidency....yes I believe he was privy to, part of the orchestrated design and cover up. somehow figured his conscience got to him...guess not. sorry about your Brother. love-

Was the harmony ever really there in the first place? I think there has always been a problem telling the good guys from the bad guys. There does seem to be a lot of disharmony at present though.

was there ever a time when you felt at ease, comfortable with America your family...for me there was a time...a long time ago. when reunions common were place and block parties shared camaraderie as natural life. ah I was young...perhaps naive...thanks for enjoying. love Michael

Harmony is gone...I like that...no one has a common purpose in America anymore, we use to all stand together, more or less, now we all stand alone...lost....love this....blessings....

thats right...we used to.
as we see it is essential for survival. I swear to God I can look back and see it still....America the Beautiful. those who control ...our economy...wealth. have systematically done this...I believe...mind setting with media...creating fear and then forcing "protection" upon us. just squeezing the lemon a lil tighter. They are a wee percent of Us...and certainly do not want us gathering in reunion. and it is a freakin' sin. love Michael

You've got it so right in this well penned piece. Rome dies a slow death from within due to corrupt leadership and there is a strong parallel to what has been slowly happening here over time. Well done and I thank you very much for sharing it.

ah good to see you...well I wrote a different one first. but I wasn't feeling it. Its that I didn't want to or do....its just not the truth so....I erased it and said what needed.
I miss the "spirit" of America...we have to believe in each other again. those who represent us...just dont know us.

Nice poem. It is hard to tell who's the good guy and who's not. Especially since there is no justice right now. When the government is corrupt, then who's here to protect us. Nothing is right, and everything is gone to pot. Who do your call when you need help? Where is the justice? Only by the grace of God will we find our way back. We have no power, but he does. Prayer can move mountains. And we do have a mountain to move. Very well done.

Nice poem. It is hard to tell who's the good guy and who's not. Especially since there is no justice right now. When the government is corrupt, then who's here to protect us. yes it is. but you can always tell, the "good" guy's dont plot to deceive. dont pleasure in murder. or blanket their sense of right and wrong under covetous greed. I hear you....amazing how such a small percent of our population controls our despair.
