A great rondeau. We forget constantly small and important things and tasks we must do. It is more a case of too many stuff to remember I think. Lol.

Thank you Sandra. Maybe that's it.

I doubt that your losing it--there's just a lot more to keep track of in this complicated world. I take gingko biloba and write lists to help my memory. Thanks for your selfie and sharing your concerns in rhyme. At our age, it's right to be concerned, but not alarmed. Hang in there- Joan

Anytime one leaves ones environment to stay outdoors...things will be left behind. As an avid camper, I left lots of stuff...Here is a study I read: Leaving one room to get something in another, the mind sees the doorway as entry to a whole new world, therefore one must often return to Room 1 to remember...It is just like this: If you study for a test while drinking, you may not remember the info when sober, but if you drink two beers you will remember it again. Strange isn't it? Ginseng helps memory...a lot..Panax ginseng...Great questions in a poem....

Thank you Nika. An interesting perspective.
Comment from Jannypan (Jan)
Well, you did not forget how to write a rondeau. It seems to be in good form. However, I am not the best judge of that. I liked the rhymes & there was a smooth flow to your lines.
As to your other dilemma, I would start playing some of those mind games online that may ward off the problem. I am not trying to lessen the severity of what you said, though. Please talk with your family doctor.
Take care. Jan
