We were at my parents house earlier this year and it was pretty warm when we heard the neighbor kids playing in the yard over. The parents brought their canoe our and filled it with water. They kids were sitting in the canoe pretending they were in the sea or ocean or whatever. Every once in awhile the hose came out and they sprayed the canoe again and you'd hear the kids scream like some big wave came over them. It was amazing to watch and I was sad I wasn't part of it. Summer can be a great time for memories

a very well written and cute story, Ine. Seems to me I did something like this to my brothers when I was pre-teen. He didn't find it so funny though.

Suggestion, if I may: " precisely at her fathers face. Daddy chokes and coughs." (You need an apostrophe in the word father's)

I always told my kids, water dries, as I douce them.
This is an excellent writing for family sharing which I think more kids need this day and age.

On a hot day, you have to have fun. Nikki and Douglas enjoy their prank, and doubt if they mind Dad's retribution of turning the hose on them at all. And they have their swim suits on already, so that makes it perfect. Dad took the joke pretty well. Excellent work with the story. To the point and entertaining. judi

What a cute story Ine. Children do love to play in the water. Our water is so cold it is almost ice icicles. It comes from underground water that comes from the snow on the mountain. It can take your breath away. Nikki played a trick on her dad and they had fun in the waterfrom the hose. Well done. Nancy

An enjoyable little story that brings a smile for mischievous kids acts on a hot summer's day. Could have dire consequences for someone to be hit full force in the face with water. Not many of us would look directly into the opening of a hose, though, so maybe that's a problem that won't happen. Marilyn
