A very moving and loving tribute to Claire. Very touching and well composed poetic verse. A very desirable way to go is to pass in your sleep.

Although I am sad for your friend's mother's passing, I have to say that the way she passed is a blessing. Your writing effectively painted a picture of a person taking a rest, and not waking up. You did a fine job as I didn't have to imagine the scene, because you did a fine job of creating the image.
Thank you for sharing.

Both sad and comforting. A beautiful description from a different point of view from those that mourn, though they have the final say. Well written.

Hi Ben . Many thanks for your encouraging review and comments for my contest entry and
for you good wishes. Claire passed unexpectedly and this is how my Sister told me when they had found her. Many Cheers to you

I like the way this poem leads from the perspective of the person dying to that of the family members around her. It is almost as if we are allowed to experience the journey of death with the departed.

I think perhaps most of us would like to go this way, peacefully with no great drama and no pain. Your free verse poem does a good job of describing Claire's last moments.
I see you have signed your name at the bottom of your notes - this is a no-no in this blind voting contest, so you should remove it as soon as you can.
Good luck.
Steve

Hi Steve, Thanks so much for reading and picking up that issue I did this unintentionally so have corrected the issue. I try to be so careful and appreciate your message and also for your lovely review. Claire's death was quite unexpected but sounds like her time was up. Cheers for your good luck message

Very poignantly written and a touching dedication. Death comes like a thief in the night. I pray for all who have left us for, what I believe, a more peaceful and blissful afterlife. I pray to condole and console in my own way. Sending prayers to those who are hurting from the separation and for a peaceful respite to the departed loved one.
Technical note: was it probably a typo error? "santuary of death" instead of "sanctuary of death"?
