What an absolutely sweet poem!
You sounded both like a passionate fellow poet and like a caring mother!
Your words were so tender and well chosen! I loved the idea of you channeling him!
Also, I'm on love with these lines:
"But who'd blame him for that choice?
He claimed a muse with golden voice,
To grace his table as he dines,
And sips with prophets sweetest wines."
If only he could see this poem!

Hi Jyoti!
Well, I just can't help wonder what he would have accomplished if he'd lived a full life. The nieces we raised are 23 and 26 now, just his age. Must be where that other 'voice' came from lol Thank you for this lovely review :)
I truly appreciate your kind comments and you taking the time to read my poem.

Keats was a significant poet of his time not just for his individual talent but also for his participation in the romantic movement of poetry. The classical period of literature was followed by the romantic period which highlighted common subjects as opposed to the lofty topics of the classic period. Associating with Keats as a poet is associating with a great voice that died early and a great pioneer in literature.

Wow!
Your rhythm and rhyme scheme seemed exquisite! I love the descriptive word choice throughout: pristine, forsooth, lofty...
Well done encorporating such precise language into your rhyme scheme and rhythm.
For me, this was fantastic!

This is such an amazing tribute to someone who clearly meant a lot to you. Both poems, his and yours, were beautiful. Death is tragic no matter how you are forced to endure but so much harder to accept when its someone young. Someone who did so much good here. I hope you are able to find peace through writing. This is absolutely beautiful xoLeslie

Hi Rookette,
The poetry of Keats is amazing, I just wonder what he could have accomplished had he lived longer. Thank you for your wonderful review.

I loved Keats when I was in school.
We studied him and he became one of my favorites and yes I do believe had he lived longer, his fame would have been great.
