Very greatly done. It seems we are on the same route. My choice for today was the Kyrielle for the napowrumo challenge and I chose katauta as a normal post for the day.

I read a lot of Keats yesterday, and he will still get a posting, but I'm working myself up to an Ode lol for all that reading, the katauta seemed to just be a measure of peace when I was done. :) I paired the katauta and the sedoka in my post, so we're still unique.
Have a great day!

You've taught me one or two things here. I have a much clearer idea of what a sedoka actually is. Writing the katauta first, by itself, and then joining it o the reply, is a very good way of showing how it works and how it is built. I have also learnt a new word! Presumably from the same Latin root as requiem. There is great beauty in the lines:
"I feel you watching
aware, yet still I slumber -
your blue eyes reflect moonlight"

Thank you, Tony!
I appreciate you taking the time to read and comment. I'm so thrilled that you enjoyed my presentation of the katauta and the sedoka. It made no sense to me to do one without the other. While the katauta may stand alone, it really is just half the poem.
Your kind words made me smile today. :)
Thank you!
Kim
