Good poem, terrible to read it. As a Christian man, I apologize for men like that who pretend to be Christian and have not one ounce of the love or Spirit of Christ. I am sorry that he so scarred your life, and I hope you have found a path to peace and joy since then.

A great example of the ghazal, for me it was one of the more difficult forms I attempted. Sorry about the bad experiences while growing up.

My father was one of four children and he was the one his father picked on all the time. He could not ever got himself to give anyone of his four children a hiding even when it was needed. He vowed to stop the abuse and not carry it over to his children. He is my best inspiration although he passed 15 years ago, he still is.
