Love the Mini-Monoverse very clever Memories and Cluttered mind.
Beginning and ending with the memory of the Elephant and told in quite different styles.Well done Kim, this must have taken some time to work out. Superb.

Thanks, Valda!

My husband went with our nephew and great nephew to a boys night of hockey so I had a quiet evening of writing. I decided that Emily Romano deserved a bit of a tribute for all of the contemporary styles she's invented. :) And, I love elephants, so lol it was the first thing that came to mind with the brevetted and I just decided to carry the theme throughout.

This is very clever stuff and your notes are extremely informative. I took my time to read the notes and the read the poem it referred to in order. You created quite a challenge for yourself and pulled it off beautifully with style and panache. This must have taken a long time to organise but it was worth the effort.

Made me smile as this is often how feel when I attempt poetry myself. I was impressed and walk away a little more knowledgeable, thank you x

Hi Helen,

I decided that a contemporary woman who has contributed so many new forms to the art of poetry and has received such acclaim deserved a bit of recognition during National Poetry Writing Month. I've seen some of those styles from time to time here on FanStory, so I thought it would be informative to let people know where they originated. Thank you for being so diligent and reading each style with the appropriate notes, I know this was a long piece, but her styles are so short that I'd have felt like I was cheating to do just one.

I appreciate you spending the time to read and write this exceptional review.

I knew so little about poetry when I first came to this site a few weeks ago, other than the War poems I studied at school. I had no idea what I had been missing. I close read your poems and my words did not do you justice but my mark did. X

My personal preference is far LESS 'busy' poetry presentation forms, Kim, though I admire and respect your versatility and patience in taking this on.'

Geez! Couldn't you make the notes a bit longer? LOL.

At first, I read the 'Pictorial, across instead of down, so by then I was getting a bit confused and distracted by all the 'bells and whistles', as us old guys sometimes do.

Anyway, those are just MY irritating preferences, and completely unimportant in the grand scheme of things. ;-)

I still much enjoyed the very skilful write.

But, Ray, I tried to color code it for you lol I didn't want to feel like I cheated by doing just one or two, but I decided that a woman who had created 8 different styles has earned a little bit of recognition in National Poetry Writing Month. :)

LOL. Thanks for that, Kim, but I'm still blinking and am scared to take off my sunglasses.

I'm nt sure about all her inventions, though it's a very nice thought/tribute by you, as quantity doesn't always mean quality.

I've created hundreds of poetic forms, but I'm far too modest to publicise them. Haha.
