This is a very good poem you have penned. You used very good descriptive wording and very good imagery. I love the art work you chose for this piece. Hugs, teri

Thanks so much, Teri for this, oh so encouraging review!! I had a 4 on a review here and had to count to 10 and then re-read my other reviews to lose the "bite"...lol. I am sure you know what I mean.
Again, thank you , hon.
Always,
Missy

Hi Justafan - this is a lovely free verse, beautifully written. and from what you say in your author notes you should go to your favourite place more often if it helps you write like this. Lovely. Warm regards Dorothy x

Oh my goodness, I felt like I was right next to you on the beach. You so vividly "showed" not "told" with your descriptions; for instance:
Sail above me,
Occasionally diving for a treat
And (my favorite part):
Warm gentle breeze comes in off the gulf
Whipping my hair into a mess
I can almost taste the salt in the air...reminds me of the Texas coast.
I totally understand your message about experiencing something so spectacular but having no one with which to share it.
Beautifully sad, excellent writing!

Oh, sweet Amy, come down to the shores with me :) A glass of wine, loaf of stale bread (for the birds treats) and we will spend the afternoon filled with laughter :)
Thank you so much for this over the top review, hon. I am thrilled by your response to it!!

Excellent Poem! The poems flows and connects well. The author's words are clear, descriptive and thought provoking. The reader pondered on the word of this poem.
The artwork is perfect and compliments the words and theme of this poem.

I get to go to the beach about one a year -- Gulf Shores in Alabama -- amazing place. Your poem just took me there. Thanks for that! Hugs--
PS, you can email me your photo and I'll fix it for you...?

LOL, you are just too precious for words, sugga!! I live about an hour from Gulf Shores if I take the ferry from Dauphin Island across the bay. Where do you live, Robin?
What is your email, hon?

I enjoyed reading this, it made me think of sitting at the beach (Atlantic) enjoying watching the pelicans and other sea-birds.
Your ending was sad, and I hope that some-one will share all of the beauty nature has to offer with you.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi justafan,
I enjoyed this poem to which you appealed to all the senses to register the perfect day for lovers, but to which you are alone. How perfect is that moment, until you realize that sharing it would truly be the perfection. I had three weeks like that last summer while away from my husband.
I love the presentation and your sentimental poem.
Nice work!

Maybe you wee alone, girl, but those pelicans look happy...if you would have watched, you might of saw the birds doing what bees do.
It's not right that Missy should be lonely, unless you want to be.
