Kindess is for children I have heard. Lovely attempt at some thinking you have put a few words on the page and called it free style poetry.
Yes, in an attempt to do well it is all work. Fun doesn't come into it, unless at the end you receive acclaim, that is the fun part.

That was interesting, but it has a point. It's kinda like how employment feels at times. No fun can be found in it some days, and everyone tries to share a joke to pass the time, no matter how bad off it sounds.

Thank you for your review. I agree with you. I always enjoyed my work (when I was working. Retired.) I was thinking more in terms of always competing with others. Seems an empty life.

Well, what I know about poetry could be written on the back of a postage stamp, but I found this effective. Your use of short, sharp lines conveys an impression of having no time to breath because you are so busy fighting to stay on top. Of the ranking game here, perhaps?

In 12 words you have aptly summarized "competition" for many athletes and not just the pros. Indeed many give up so much, especially a social life, to achieve the brass ring. Are they to be admired? Rhetorical question.

Not necessarily admired. Sometimes pitied. Life should be enjoyed.

Ok I found it. I think I ike this version better. More people will relate to this one I think. However, some fun should always be considered lol
