Dawn;
-a superb and wonderful upbeat poem that reflects the continuance of life.
-Near and notable alliterations: "beached, bones bleached".
-Very inspirational and enlightening was reading this poem.
-The pictures were outstanding even the animated one and were very relative and appropriate for your conceptual theme and also relative and complementary to your writing.
-Thank you for sharing and posting and may the good Lord be with you forever.

I am thrilled to bits that you have decided to live again!! What a lovely poem, my friend, and I think many others will be coming to read it after they have read Rays message. I love the words, they are so in tune with the dolphins, and then you gave us the added treat of the dolphin video, that was just so wonderful, that dog...amazing, Dawn! Lovely everything! :) Sandra xxxxx Sorry I don't have a 6 left, we just do not have enough! xxxx

"Life is al about starts and pauses." One of the many great lines in your poem. Excellent and interesting form and message. I often don't have time to view all videos, etc but I was happy I got to see the cat and dolphin because it was just adorable.

Domino is directing everybody over here and so thoughtful of him. Your poem is great and these videos are astounding. Especially that kitty one, Wow, I've never seen anything like that. So Cool. Life is all about starts and pauses, so much truth to that.

Another nice post for today, Dawn :) We saw dolphins when we went to Mexico two years ago. It was in a park and we watched the tourists swimming with them. Looked fun. Maybe next time. We also saw swimming with sharks. Not for me, but the tourists got in the water. The handlers held the sharks and talked about them. Nope, you won't see me even imagining swimming with sharks!

Nope, me either, not even with dolphins, although I love them, and I admire the shark for the amazing killing machine it is. I scuba dive (or have) but I still have no interest in putting myself at risk with such powerful creatures.

Thanks so much, Joy - I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

Great poem and great videos. The first stanza is unbelievably good and deserves a six all by itslef (alas, just gave away the last one) - thje idea of going through life (or ate peast periods of it) as if we were dragging around a dead carcass, is a great articulation of a phenomenon that will resonate with many - comparing it to "a dolphin without a sea" is a masterpiece of a simile - a masterpiece!

"Rebel with mostly invisible causes" is another great turn of a phrase that captures a stance toward life.

I love the spirit of this - it captures the attitude of hope and perseverance that keeps us going at times.

A truly beautiful poem - this one will go on the bookshelf>

Extraordinary piece of free verse you have delivered Dawn! Emotionally inspiring as I have dealt with these feelings in the past which still haunt my future. Wonderful videos of the Cat, Dog and Dolphins. What an inspiration this piece is my friend.
God bless!

I am tickled pink to have so many wonderful dolphins in my inbox this morning since they are my favorite creature on the planet. I miss not being around them now, but treasure each memory of working with them and playing with them in my earlier years. Your poem absolutely captures their natural ability for joy and compassion - they embrace life in pure love and acceptance of the others they have to share this planet with something we as humans should try to do more of. Nicely done and I thank you very much for sharing it.

Who is 'Suse', Dawn, or is it a secret?

With depression, however deep, 'to decide to live one more day' is a great attitude. At least it gives the mood a time to change and to maybe seek medical help if really bad, Dawn.

Excellent metaphorical references to that wonderful creature, the dolphin.

I watched an excellent movie on the TV last night called, 'Lucy' (sci-fi which isn't usually my thing with a few classical exceptions). In it a reference was made stating dolphins are the only creature which uses more of its brain capacity than humans - I think about 20% compared to 15%

Nice one.

Cheers, Ray xx

Nope, no secret - Realist101. We all have our fair share of trouble, but she seems to have more than most.

Ray, you are so generous and kind - thank you for this wonderful feedback - yes, I know dolphins are incredibly intelligent. I'd love to see that movie. I'll have to look for it, but it's not the first time I've heard that they use more of their brain than we do. The incident I mention about my encounter with them in the wild was unbelievably thrilling. The feeling is indescribable, but it left me thinking those creatures know a LOT more than we give them credit for...

I've added some videos to the prose I've just posted that give a glimpse into their world - I could add so many more!

Wow, Ray - thank you! I'm so pleased we share a love of these creatures. The cat in that video could be my Prissy's twin (except Prissy isn't as slim.)
