Hi Missy,
you know what I think? You're a writer, right? Yes, of course you are, but nothin' like these stories of how the hearts crying to allow the mind to sing and compose the blues... guess it's one of my favorite heart connections to music... the material that causes and stirs emotion on a far different level... first it sucks you into the vortex to the tapped-out feeling of 'what the hell happened' loss... reflection and then the memories that cannot be removed once they are burnt in through deep desire... and then you leave the whole thing dangling in the breeze that only time creates... yeah, love the lingering conclusion... that really isn't...'cause we just never know what's going to happen in our next breath... or as it may be... the lingering tear filled with droplets of the heart.
So wonderfully presented, the colour scheme and visual added a real punch to the story of it... and that lingering tear? Well it added length to an a story that already had me sitting back in my chair in deep contemplation... wow, hope time reveals sooner, rather than later... detest that waiting in limbo!
With our thoughts we create,
a keeper of the heart,
James vx's.

Well, the ones that poof are probably not all they seemed to be in the first place. This is so you and a wonderful piece. Your style is simply wonderful as it is down to earth and still filled with genuine emotion. Nicely done and I thank you very much for sharing it.

Oh yes, grieving a break up comes in waves indeed! Sometimes a rainy tree brings up those memories or the chilly wind - and they become alive again.
Just like in your bittersweet poem! I'm sorry that it keeps coming back this way!
However, your poems are a beautiful outlet...

Men get scared and feel the trapped wolf in the steel trap feeling. Or they just don't or won't settle down. I had to learn to spot them, enjoy them and let them go. It is the quiet ones that make better partners.
Good poem and well expressed.

Hi, Missy
= So true. Sometimes one gets too comfortable and you're right ... poof!
= Beautiful artwork and formatting.
= Of course, love gone wrong can be a blessing in disguise when, like in my case, Mr. Right comes along. (*<*) Whoohoo!
* Cheers & Blessings *
Keep Smilin'... Jackie (*>*) Jax

Unfortunately, sometimes we expect too much from people. Looking for perfection, which doesn't exist. The real secret being, for someone to care as much about you as you do them. Huh, damn if that still isn't pretty hard to do. Thanks for another fine poem. :-)

It is hard, Ric :(
We just have to not give up or give into failures. It is out there waiting :)

Thank you

I sympathize with your loss if loss it is and not just a short separation. It is a beautiful little piece although it leaves me in two minds about "marathon love making". Having actually run in one marathon (and I won't be doing that again) I am having a problem over which part of the 26.2 miles you are equating to the act of love. As I remember the beginning was too fast, the middle too long and then I hit the "wall and staggered to the finish". Or did you mean you did it 26.2 times? If so the point 2 is worrying me. Lol.

No not 26.2 miles but maybe 6 beautiful hours of bliss with a tiny break for food and drink ...lol.
Thanks, Gynt for the thought provoking review, hon.

Ah, crap! (oops, my bad - it slipped out, honestly...) Here we were so happy just one posting ago...I do hope this isn't biographical. Most of mine are not, although I draw from that well of experience as well as observation...
Yes, that's my reaction to tis sad poem -'ah, crappola! Sometimes life just sucks!'
