Ah, the music of love...how wonderful that is, new love. Life does become exciting in those times of new love. That music may be everlasting...but you know, love does change with time...in a good way, of course :)
Well done,
Carol

And what a wonderfully written contribution to the Picture This Poetry Challenge Group it is, Missy. It most common to think of someone coming into your heart and tugging your heartstrings. But I like the metaphorical implications of the heart having keys to be tickled.
This lovely little verse lend an entirely new meaning to the phrase, "He (or she) played me like an instrument."
Wonderfully composed
beautifully written.

Missy, this is such a lovely way of intertwining love and music - just a light, tender piano reference, but it says so much about the music of the soul!

Missy,
Woot, woot. Here is the love poem I was expecting. I love it. You did get two poems from the picture. I could have gotten several from it also. You have picked a lovely image. Oh how I love your poems. It is so perfect. If you read the other review you already know I am out of six stars. But my heart sends you millions.
Blessings,
Darlene

You're getting a lot of inspiration from this image. This one is very nice. You rely heavily on the images of heart and music which is something that I really enjoy. It is so much better to have unified imagery, particularly in something short and sweet, so that a totality of feeling about the poem is left in the reader's mind. You've got a great vibe here with the progression of ideas from the song entering the heart, to the increased value you see in life once connected. and finally to a love that goes on forever. One language feature that stands out for me here is the choice of three perfect adverbs to close out the verses. It gives the poem a little kicker at each point of segue to the next verse and adds a nice symmetry to the structure. This is a good one. Keep writing and have a happy, new year, my friend.

You just keep giving, Mark. I am so indebted to you, for standing tall for me. Not letting me pout and get away with it :) You pushed even as I was pushing back. You made me stop and look. I truly believe I have grown...thanks to you. xx
Always,
Missy

I am glad you like this one. It was first. :) Sometimes they write themselves, by just looking at a picture. I get all lost trying to write without my heart being involved. I was ready to give up on poetry until I found free verse. I like this alot.
Thank you, sweetie.

I am so glad you feel the same. I have a hard time with rhyme and meter. I do better with free verse. I'm trying to learn but it's frustrating.

I need to take a class, I think.

Lovely poem with well chosen words. It is enjoyable reading with its own message, different from the other messages the picture evokes. Evi

It is not a competition, so to speak, hon. It is just a way to make new friends and see what we can come up with looking at one picture. :)
Thank you kind sir, for this lovely review and the added bling of the 6.
