Fun day is snow day. Something we don't see but once every few years here in Houston. So much said in these tiny shorts. Well crafted and sure to be well received.
God bless!

I understand. We have moved to Florida, so no more snow for us.
Thank you for the great review and stars

The first thing I do to check to make sure the story is in the poem is pull the picture up so I can't see it.

Yours works one hundred percent. I know exactly what's happening having loved as a child, as most children do, not only a snow day off school, but sliding down the mountains on snow-filled garbage bags.

Great job and best wishes to you in the contest.

    Gloria,
Thank you so much for your read and review. I love that you removed the picture to see if the poem still makes sense. I do the same thing.

Thank you for the generous stars

Lovely.
I will never try to write poetry, but I wonder and I am amazed in what a writer can do with so few words.
You drew a beautiful picture.

Thank you so much for your kind words. Poetry is like a puzzle that needs to be put together. LOL my husband says I'm strange...

Thank you for reading and reviewing this piece.

Katie, what a cute little poem and picture of your son. What a happy and fun time for kids when school is out and they can play in the snow :)
Schools out
The snows calling me (I'm afraid you have 5 syllables in this line. to remedy you can remove "the" )

Best wishes in the contest.
Blessings,
Anabella

This made me grin. Yes, snow days and so many emotions accompany the call. Then parents have to scramble to plan their day. But, as your picture and words attest -- memories are made on snow days. -Good luck in the contest. - Judy

Katie,

Haha...guess you and your son won't be seeing many of
those snow days anymore when living in south Florida:)
This is a really cute 2-4-2 entry and you've said a lot
with those few 8 syllables.

Love the image you conjured up of the delight of your
son with having no school and excited about going
sledding.

Great job on this!
Linda

Thank you very much Linda for your kind review. Evan used to love sledding, now he loves swimming and playing in the waves.

    Blessings,
