WOW! I am out of breath. What a magnificently told scene! The more I read the faster I read in an effort to keep pace with the action. I was hoping that somehow she would survive this cruel ordeal she had just experienced. I have heard that in such instances in real life, if the attempt to put to death fails, another attempt is not legal. I'm not sure if that is factual or not. However, for this forum, it weren't for some typos and need for better proof-reading, I could have easily given this a 6-star rating. The imagery was superb.

Thank you. The original idea for this story is based on a Supreme Court case from 1947 that in fact allows a state to go ahead to try again. Sarah and her lawyers now have to fight this.
