Hello Monty,
I know what you mean. I"ve never beet to Hawaii but I understand the concept and in Spain (where I'm from) people are laid back like that too. Nice rhyme and meter. Good job!

I want to be right where that picture is at the moment taken. Your poem is just as beautiful as it wraps lovliness within each line read. It reminded me of country folk rising to a rooster call. When do we get back to that too? Another amazingly Phenominal write....

A very nice poem with great flow, rhythm, and rhyme. I have always wanted to go to Hawaii. It looks absolutely beautiful! I would love living where no one is in a hurry and people were less stressed.

You're welcome.

A good poem, with a nice alternating rhyme scheme. Subject wise, it does generalize, but that's okay. It is still a nice idea, and I wish it were entirely true. Well crafted.

Time stands still and a leisurely style is the norm. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very easy read. There is very good imagery.

Wow - how nice to see a posting from you. Yes, Hawaii lives at a different pace - and in my opinion, it is a far more sane one than ours.
Loved your easy-breezy lines. I could sure picture island life while reading them.

You certainly did a good job of capturing the laid back attitude of these islanders. I think Hawaii has to be one of the most luxurious places to live. Tiny spag in your notes: ABOUT Hugs, Lou

This is a very lovely poem with a soothing mood. The images are warm and nice. My husband has family in Hawaii, and they are the warmest, nicest family that welcomes newcomers. They have a great energy and are very pleasant to be around. This is a nice read. I really love this line:
Just a rock in the ocean rolling with the tides
Happy New Year!

I like the thought behind your poem, but in reality we in Hawaii have the same problems and concerns as others elsewhere. True, we are a little more laid back then elsewhere in the U.S. Hawaiian time actually means that one always arrives late.
