Indeed it was! And if anyone could pull it off, it's you! So here, this brings us to yet another contest Mr. Richards may be winning... you're starting to rack up some impressive ones, my dear man. LOL
This yet another fantastic entry deserving a six star rating... HOW is it that there just aren't enough of those damn boogers to make it past one day in this joint? I'm going to start taking Sundays off! ;(

Well done Craig and I'd wish you luck, but you don't seem to need it with THESE made skillz! ;)
lol
Loved it!

Haha thanks Cat! I don't think I'm in any danger of pulling it off, but it was fun playing around being someone a few people probably already think I am ;-) As always, your comments are most gratefully received!

"I have many names: Satan, The Devil, Beelzebub to name a few - but you can call me Nick."<-------->The original form of the name, Beelzebub, is Ba'al Zebul, Craig, or "the lord of the mansion<" or high house, which would refer to his temple or to the mountain on which all the gods dwelt. Contrary to popular opinion, Beelzebub is not another pseudonym for Satan. He is the right hand man, or Lieutenant, of the Dark Prince, if you will, and one of those who will lead Satan's armies into the battlefields of Armageddon. Just an observation...

I read somewhere about a mother named Danielle Parsons, 22, who'd been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after her two-year-old daughter was killed when she lost control of her car and hit a tree and a wall. She was also accused of child neglect after the crash on Gibbins Road in Selly Oak, Birmingham.

This was very good, Craig, and flawlessly written, at least from a technical aspect. I would imagine the Devil is quite pleased with many things going on in our society and world today. In fact, I'm quite certain he's beaming with pride. Same sex marriages, racial hatred, bigotry, rampant adultery, lust, greed, thirsts for power...the list goes on and on, ad infinitum. But Satan's opinion isn't the one we all should be worried about. His days are numbered, even as we speak.

Well done, and I wish you the best of luck in the booths

Sarcasm from Santa NIck, the old devil. Written in the hottest place on earth, where words have been welded into a very fine Christmas satire. Some would say a season to be jolly but the other side of the coin is, of course, a season to jolly well think. 47C in Port Augusta the day before yesterday, about as close as you can get to hell on earth.

That is ridiculously hot. Just think where we would be if global warming were real! It was close to 40 here, I think. That's hotter than I like, but those 7 degrees would make all the difference. We've had decent rain today, and more forecast for tomorrow. I hope you're getting some of that. Cheers,

Hi Craig,

You did a good job with this. It was humorous and hit some good notes along the way.

I know the rowan Atkinson sketch very well. (He used to be a neighbour of ours, and he is much more like Mr Bean in real life!).

Good stuff and good luck
G

Thanks, GMG. I'm incredibly jealous. How much fun it would be to have him for a neighbour? Thanks for the good wishes, too.

G'day to a fellow Aussie!!! I like your way of saying that the priest "took an unhealthy interest in the boys in his congregation."
Where do you live, mate?

What a great concept for the contest. It so clever bringing situations relevant to Christmas to the forefront. DRINK driving. Then wasn't expecting the dialogue being expanded to include all the issue's published on Facebook. Good luck

This was a well written entry to the contest, Richard. I liked the idea of Santa being the devil, I thought that was quite original. I thought that your writing flowed well and I couldn't find any faults. Good luck in the contest...Jacob
