Hi, Dean,
Rats, now I'm going to have that song in my head all day, lol.
Of course, this story's theme is no laughing matter. There is no more eerie feeling than thinking you know where someone is, only to find out you are mistaken.
One evening, I thought my wife was out on the back deck; I could hear her bumping around doing something.
I walked down our hall as she came out of the bathroom; sacred the crap out of me!
Oh yeah, the noise turned out to be two raccoon's doing their thing:)
You do a nice job of "setting the table" in this one. When the room went cold, I felt a chill!
Another good chapter, Dean...the book is getting pretty fat!

Hahahaha. Sorry 'bout that, Bill. Don't 'cha just hate it when that happens, lol?
Thank you for the review, and for sharing your own personal spooky experience with me as well.
All my best, my friend...

You always come up with the ironic unexpected in your little horror tales. The set up was clever, creating the subtle twists that make for maximum horror in its surprise. Nicely done.

Oh a coveted six right off the bat. This is one of the best ones you have in this collection.
I love the scare factor and the way you deliver it

Thanks so much for your continued support of these Tiny Tales of Terror, Barb. Me, along with all of the other authors who have graciously submitted stories of their own, certainly do appreciate it.
I'm really pleased that you enjoyed this one, and your glowing review and six stars are just the icing on an already sweet cake.
Thanks so much again.
Pleasant screams!

Talk about a fright night. Rock-a-Bye Baby will never be the same again. The scream in your story is quite effective, as is the picture of the two rather frightening babies in the basket. And, to top all this off, the ending was chilling. What sort of creature is singing to those children??
Only a six-star rating would do this poem justice.
Blessings to you,
Linda

Hah-hah, that particular lullaby has always given me the willies, Linda. That's why I chose it over all the others.

Ok Dean, I know it's going to be scary and even creepy but I wasn't prepared for that. Yikes! My heart is still in my throat. Definitely a little tale of terror,
Well done.

Okay - so what if my husband had to call 911 to get my heart re-started?
Man - you really know how to scare the blazes out of someone. Great story, Dean. Perfect for this horrific little book.

Thanks, Rose. Given the genre in which I prefer to write, that's the greatest of compliments, LOL. I do try, very hard.
I really do!
I just write about the things that scare me the most and hope for the best. The way I figure it, if it scares me, then it's bound to scare most everyone else.
Thank you for reading and reviewing my Tiny Tale. As always, I really appreciate it.

Down will come baby, cradle and all- I kept thinking that next whatever entity or person in the room was going to drop baby over the railing. I knew when those headlights pulled in that it was his wife. Excellent short scare.

Okay Dean that was some spooky "stuff"! I could feel the foreshadowing as we the readers see the scene being played out. I wanted to shout a warning..."It,s not her!" Spooky!
