A lonely Saturday star. Why should I waste it when you made me laugh? Frankly, it was the P.S. that did it. The rest I bought--hook, line, an stinker.

On the other hand, I revere the Contest Committee, and I'm certain it can commit no wrong.

This is a fun loser's reaction to contest results. You expressed sentiments I have felt myself from time to time. The narrator's voice drew me into this story. It is proud but pained. Your play with words caused me to laugh, as in your spelling of "impeckable." Yes, I wish my entry fee was refunded after some contests. I wish your grievances win you this contest so you will not have to repeat them. Thank you for sharing.
