Dear Vance, I must say I was taken by surprise at your title, "Osity" and "Tude." I didn't have the slightest idea what they meant and was about to "Pass" when it dawned on me that perhaps you meant "curiOSITY" and "atTIUDE" as a brain teaser Whatever you meant, I can see from reading on, that you meant that they we're opposing forces. .
Re the word, "Curiosity," I see that I was right. Hooray! Re your definition, "I chose "Patience" at the top of the list since it is a virtue motioned more than once in the Bible. It is a hard one to overcome, and worth the effort for the great rewards from achieving it. They were all so true, but what got my attention was a "Hopeless, darkness-driven, blind, and cold consistency,:" as well as "Without concern for loss or discomfort and finds shame in greed." What a scary thought and worth heeding.
On to "tude" and my guessing you might have meant "Attitude" and so relieved I was right on the button again. Perhaps it would have been an easy one for others to figure right off the bat, but not so easy for me, so I say "Hooray": again...I never thought of the word BALANCE in relationship to the word ATTITUDE and it was certainly an eye opener, for without balance, there is no peace or justification of what is right or wrong.
I especially liked your meaning of, and I quote, "Servitude: is the mission of giving, caring, hoping, commitment and love to those who are needful, to those who may be lifted, and to those who deserved to be served"
Now to the biggie, "GRATITUDE." and I quote again, "It: is the winner of all things good, wise, healthy, honorable, and holy, it is UTOPIA. It is the word that always wins in all things in life!" I always loved the word "UTOPIA," but never knew how to use it. It kind of sums this all up as "Gratitude yields Utopia," if that makes any sense.
Thank you, Vance, for this profound and yet so simple suffix to your previous post on GRATITUDE" Thank your for all the daily reminders that can help one to live a more happy and productive life when they have the chance and it is not too late! Nan:)
P.S. In closing, I just noticed your name "VANCE" in a new light and thought by adding the PREFIX "ADD" ala AD'VANCE" would give added meaning to "What's in a name? And in your instance "ADVANCE ON TO "GRATITUDE," would be appropriate. My opinion, as always.

An excellent picture that complements your poem perfectly. I find it hard to review as you covered so much ground. It is certainly a free verse, and your main goal GRATITUDE but that is an Utopia.

Profound poem, Vance, with unmistakable wisdom in looking outside the self for recognized life support. I am grateful to you for reminding me of the importance of Gratitude to expand the circle of the self by the addition of the enduring work of others. God Bless.

I love this creative and motivating poem. It carefully describe each attitude and act. I like the scheme you employed to drive home your message giving gratitude a fine push that all must embrace. Nicely thought out.
