Some would say that using a grave as a focus for a poem is unusual, but for someone like Edgar Allan Poe, who was a renowned author, believed by some to be the father of the horror story, it is a matter of historical interest.

Well, I happen to adore ravens (and Poe's work) myself, Anonymous Poet, immensely. So, I'm not so sure I would consider it a bad omen for me. But, I'm sure many others would disagree.
Nice take from Poe's classic epic, "The Raven". Excellent presentation for effect.
