Having gone a lifetime with no interest in poetry, in recent times I have started to read more and more, listening as people share the worst of times, the best of times, and any hope for the future. Thanks for another fine poem. :-)

The presentation of your poem is beautiful. We all need love, and if we dream enough we may find it. When you find the love you dreamt about treasure it . It doesn't happen twice.

Wow. What a beautifully composed free verse, Missy. Dramatic and romantic, a bit mysterious and dark--it's hard to believe this isn't entered into a contest, like the one for romantic poetry for example.

Your poem does a good job of expressing longing, and I am glad the loved one was found because I was afraid it was going to be a poem about missing a loved one you had lost.
