This is an interesting poem that the author has created with this piece of writing. We all have to battle with sanity and insanity, but what is sane and insane? These are social constructs.

This sounds like a good description of someone who has slipped into mental illness. I don't think anyone can really understand though. The sane cannot ever understand the insane.

I am quite intrigued, it seems America and the West is plagued by mental health issues, starting first with mild depression , then paranoia, bipolar disorders, dementia and insanity. Maybe because of the freedom in drug abuse, maybe because of a distorted view that adulthood is measured by how much you can down drugs in one swoop. In our country, drug dependency is looked down upon and unacceptable. Although lately modernization is slowly changing that and I just hope it will not be a normal thing like what is happening in America right now. The art work amplified the message of your poem. God bless.

This is a very solid write. It's topic of Insanity is very well described allowing the reader to feel the complexities of it. "Dancing shadows in my brain" - very creatively written. The picture is perfect to enhance this piece. Well done for this insightful read.

This road. You are telling me how this person is experiencing their descent into insanity. A descent that ends into oblivion. My gut was wrenching with this description as I have known so many who could identify with this persons journey.
Pierre, very well done and with great sensitivity.
I have you listed as a fan but I didn't get any notice of this post and I have wondered what had happened to you. I will fan request again. -Bill

I love the artwork for this...the scribbled lines blur the identity..illustrate insanity
I love the word images..shadows dancing in my brain...red ink trickling down a window pane
Well done
God bless

An evocative little poem where you use a series of seemingly unrelated images, some of them jarring like the red ink on the window-pane, to simulate madness.
The shadows dancing in the brain and the quivering, broken thought could well be a definition of insanity.
