Brooke was my comma lady. She always carried her comma pen and worked my stories over. I would kid with her and let her know I was going to spray her dandelions with round up. LOL. She will be missed. Thanks for remembering her.

Yes, she was big on commas. Good that I have some broad shoulders. Every dandelion poem I reviewed I complained to her they were my "mowing nightmare". We had good fun going back and forth. Thank you, Ben. John

I loved it and so will Brooke. Just like Mango, I had no idea that Brooke was so ill. It wasn't until I started reading all the many heartfelt postings praying for her recovery. For someone who "doesn't write poetry" you did a terrific job. Brooke will be proud. She was touched so many lives with her writing and teaching. If she never writes a single line, her legacy is unforgettable. All of us will keep praying for her and her family.

Bert was right, Mango... u-h-h-h, I mean John (sorry, I got caught up in the moment). This entire little story was very beautiful, and I know that Brooke will love every single word of it.
I know I sure did.
The little prayer at the closing was a nice touch too. I really brought the reality of her situation home to roost, so to speak.
A wonderful dedication to a wonderful lady.

What a beautiful story dialogue between Mango and Bert and a fitting get well tribute to Brooke. I am sure she won't mind, especially if she gets to read the poem of Mango on dandelions. God bless.

Charming and filled with feelings of how much Brooke is missed and how much we want her to recover.
Great story. She does love dandelions and Sawyer, and Miranda, and all of us.
Excellent.

You brought tears to my eyes. I always like your children's stories with the delightful animals, but this one is extra special. This is such a charming story, and I am sure Brooke will love it because it is so tender and endearing. I wish I had two sixes to give you!!

debbie... sorry about the tears, but I had them as well when I wrote it. Life can be so short in retrospect.
Thank you again, John

This brought tears to my eyes because this is what she was all about and more. You did it in just the right verbage (is that a word, it should be) and it's just perfect. I loved every part of it and I can't wait for her to read it.

What an absolutely delightful story poem for the collection of works from Brooke's friends here. Using Bert and Mango is wonderful, and I liked your little poem as much as the story. I hope she gets to read all of these soon.
Smiles,
Karyn :-)
