A beautiful tribute to our beloved Brooke ... I think she must be known and cared for by everyone on site. Your sonnet will please her very much... and that astounding image. I just know she will love the reference to the lady bug. Grace is the epitome of this fine poet and friend. Your words deeply express your individual feelings and for all of us who know her. Dear lady bug where is it that you fly? Can you feel us, Brooke? We hope so.
What gift to you can I with love impart I think the love of poetry that Brooke's father instilled in her is a gift she will thrill to.
Yet even though I miss your tender touch Don't we miss her so much?
I'm still having a very hard time getting my head around this because my admiration for Brooke is unsurpassed.

I think we are all having trouble with this since who would have ever expected anything to ever happen to her ... she IS the site in my experience here and I wish I had done more to let her know how much she has inspired me. I guess all we can do for now is continue to pray and send her all the good wishes we can so that nothing but crystal clear karma surrounds her as begins to heal. God bless!

A beautifully written sonnet (at least, I think it's a sonnet?), Monica, and a wonderful poem and tribute to Brooke. She does love her grandson - little Sawyer, her lithe lady bugs, dapper dandelions, and her delightful daffodils quite a bit. And if I were a betting man, which I'm not, I would bet that she is going to absolutely love your poem.
Great work, you make sonnets look so...easy.

Thank you, Dean! She will be pleased I used punctuation (which I did just for her LOL), chuckle to herself since she knows my iambic pentameter only comes out right cause I think in that meter, and thump me for ending with a proximate instead of a concrete rhyme ..... do I know my mentor or what LOL. But anything that makes her smile is worthwhile since she has given much to all of us.

We bare our souls daily to each other so we cannot help but become close and care - I am honored to share this space with so many truly beautiful spirits and pray earnestly for any in need. I cannot help but think that all the good wishes flowing from here are reaching Brooke's heart and helping her body to heal.
