Excellent photo that complements your poem perfectly. Is it a Shakespearean Sonnet perhaps? I really enjoyed what you wrote a about a field of dandelions, clovers and a rainbow are all mentioned .

There have been many fine tributes to Brooke over the past few days and this is one of the loveliest. It has such a cheering sense to it. If ever there was a poem to make someone feel better, this is it.

Thank you so much, Tony! That is such a nice thing to say. I only hope it will put a smile on Brooke's face, she needs something to cheer her up. Bless you, my friend. xsx sandra

A well-written poem to cheer Brooke up. I probably will only review one or two more of these tributes as I am not that fond of the idea. I am just being honest, no offence is meant to you, Sandra-hope you're not mad with me! You have captured the essence of Brooke's poetry well in your poem with excellent rhyming and sincerity. Faye

Hi, Faye, of course I'm not mad at you! LOL! This is the first tribute book I've added a poem too. I just felt so very sorry for Brooke. I have two friends with MS and they have had it for years. They have been 'lucky' to have the very slow acting type. One friend is now in a wheelchair, but she has had it for over 10 years. Very slow. My other friend is still struggling around on his feet, he said he will not go into a wheelchair for a long time yet. Brooke's MS type is very aggressive and was only discovered now because Miranda was worried about how tired Brooke had been feeling and the lack of poems on here. To suddenly find out that you cannot live on your own anymore and need to live in a nursing home, that must have been a shattering experience for Brooke. She has lost well over 100 pounds at her slimming club and was feeling on top of the world. How cruel is that? One reviewer told me that she had looked up Aggressive MS on-line and she was shocked to find out what it meant. It is not at all good. I have rambled on, haven't I? Sorry about that, lol. Thank you for your lovely review, my friend! xsx Sandra

HI, Sandra, I am glad you're not mad, it is just that some of the tributes on here are a bit over the top. How awful that Brooke is so ill, I had no idea, I will say a prayer for her recovery, I do miss her delightful poems.
Today, I have had problems with two men on fanstory, and I am seriously considering giving up. One guy wrote a poem about women and their plight in China, I know nothing about this so couldn't comment. I do have experience with India, I was married to an Indian for 30 years, so guess I should know. I just disagreed politely with the comments he wrote underneath the poem-you can always read what I wrote. I commented we are not in a position to judge a country where we don't live or know enough about. The response from this guy implied I didn't care about people, I only wrote about nature!! He didn't even thank me for my review. I was quite shocked, he was never like that before, I should be allowed to comment on his opinions, debate is healthy.
Second person had reviewed my This is God's country poem, he was feeling insecure, so he wrote that any country is more than meets the eye!! I did not mean this was the best country (even though it is!) When I say country I sometimes mean countryside, you agree with that, I am sure. He got all defensive about his country and how God loved all countries! The point of the poem was to show how the countryside that God created had influenced my poetry. What is it with these men-rather hypocritical I would say. I may as well give you my email address, in case I suddenly disappear, I am going away next week to Sweden to visit friends so wont be on much in June and early part of July when my daughter comes.
Here it is: elitetransproof@yahoo.co.uk
I am happy we are friends, I have no bad intentions with anyone, I just like people to see things from a common sense point of view. I like to be honest. Fayex

I couldn't agree more, Faye. Goodness me, if we can't voice an opinion, we are no better than some of these countries we are fighting to give the innocents a free life. I love your poetry, and yes, our country is the best. I missed it when I moved to Spain, we might not be perfect in everything, but my goodness, we have more right in our country than many other countris in the world. I have taken your e-mail address and will be in touch. I am way behind in my reviewing, I have 60 messages, I am just going to make a start on them. I will get back to you later. If I don't hear from you before you go, have a wonderful time and don't worry about what's going on here. Enjoy yourself. :) xxx

Thank you for your commiserations, Sandra. The guy has written again, but I am not going to bother to reply. Some people are obsessed, I don't have to agree with him. Yes you are right it is the best country in the world, I am truly a patriot. Thanks for your good wishes, I will try not to think of fanstory! Take care, you don't have to reply, you have messages to answer! Fayex

Hi Sandra
Devastating news for us all. Our beloved Brooke has inspired, supported, encouraged and offered such gems of poetry through the years. she will love your delightful sonnet full of such colour and sunshine, she sure loves her dandelions. i always think of her when I spot one in the garden or an open field, a crack in the cement. ;] You've captured here many of the things she loved with such poetic skill and elegance. A perfect ending which expresses your feelings and reflect how we all feel about her. A splendid image. We can only pray for her healing and return to us ... she is strong of heart and spirit. Huge warm hugs to you - love Lovi xoxo PS i wish i had a six left.

It's awful, Lovi, isn't it? Brooke must be devastated. Goodness knows how Miranda is coping she will be going to visit her soon. Living so far away must be a nightmare for her. Thank you so much, my friend. Big hugs and much love back! xsx Sandra

The power of the poet's heart
To send the world with such charm
To those we care for in their needs
Recovery of Broke that is very sweet
Well the bouquet is growing
With so many dandelions growing
Also the daffodils come to play
With the birds to sing in May

Wonderful addition, Sandra. I know how much Brooke loves those dandelions. LOL! I'm sure she'll enjoy it. I suppose I'd better write one too. How was your doc appt?

Thanks Phyllis. It doesn't look at all good for Brooke, does it. She must be devastated. I don't think Miranda can get her head around it, she is in a state of shock. I didn't know MS could be as aggressive as Brooke has it. She can no longer be left on her own. That is awful. xsx ~Sandra
I am waiting for the results of some tests. I see the knee surgeon next Tuesday. Dreading it!
Comment from Dean Kuch
Yet another beautifully written sonnet for FanStory's own beloved Brooke. It seems Brooke can bring out the best poetry from our poet laureates here even when she is absent from the community. That certainly says a lot about how well loved Brooke truly is. And rightly so, I might add.
Your poem was in perfect meter. The flow and rhyming was impeccably well done. The sentiments expressed are those we all feel. I'm certain Brooke will absolutely cherish your words.
Great work, Sandra!

Beautiful artwork and a very lovely poem. I do hope it is not serious and that she is feeling better soon. She is missed by many here on the site.

Thank you so much, Melissa. Brooke has a very aggressive type of MS, and it doesn't look at all good. I am still so upset for her, goodness knows what she is going through. Her daughter is devasted. Fanstory played a big part in her life. So sad. xxx Sandra.
Comment from Ben Colder

Hi Ben. Brooke has a very aggressive type of MS, which came on so suddenly. She will be in hospital at least until tomorrow, and then she will be put into a nursing home as she can no longer be left alone. She manages to walk a few steps, but that is all. She needs round the clock care now, it is all so sad. I am sure she must be feeling devastated. I believe prayer can help. Thank you, my friend for your lovely review. xxx Sandy.

Lets continue holding her up in prayer. Thanks letting me know. She will be missed.
