Excellent alliteration with the "c" sound in the first six lines, and also with "b" in "being best".
Strong symbolism with the bee safe in the hive and especially with the fly struggling in the web with the "on coming spider". Good affirmation that we should be grateful for what we have.

The rhythm of this poem (song?) makes the reader feel a bit anxious. I'm guessing that's by design. By the time I got to the fly waiting for the spider, my heart rate had increased! Good work!

I like the progression from being in safe, familiar surroundings to being alone to feeling trapped in a spider's web. Unfortunately, the grass always seems greener on the other side. A very apt warning well put. :)

This is a thought provoking free verse. I like the differentiation between the two as the bee is merely stuck, implying an opportunity of freedom while the fly is trapped implying no way out at all. Nicely done and I thank you for sharing it.

this is an excellent write, tpac, you did an excellent job writing this proverbs like poem about being content where we are at. I spotted one line you need to change--life extremes bring confrontations instead of extremes brings confrontations. too many plurals.

Seems to me that the confrontations weren't that at all. Perhaps human confrontations would have worked better to get the point across. Nelle

Very nice imagery used here. I like the extended insect metaphor of the bee, fly and spider. Sometimes we all feel like we are trapped in webs of our own making.

I agree, a peaceful life, accepting our lot is far better than always desiring more. Well chosen words and good message. I spotted couple of things: Line 1, life's extremes bring.......Last line spider's web. Enjoyable read. Faye

Do appreciate words of encouragement if desired, don't give myself "A" mostly "C" in efforts and that's all my works Thank you
