Hi! Okay I am back. I have the office set up. It will take me a bit to get back into the hang of this.
As usual your humor makes me chuckle.
I hope all is well your side of the pond. I have missed my contact here.

I was just thinking about you a few days ago and wondering how the house was going. All is good here. Keep in touch.

So you got collagen injections, huh? I'll bet you look great. Before I got sick, I had been saving for a face and eye lift. Was halfway there, but then I realized that I wouldn't live long enough to enjoy looking better, especially as I felt worse. The money came in handy for some major car repairs, so it's for the best.
Just today, again, someone (new yard guy I had to hire) asked if Mark was my son. I get that a lot now. When I say, "No, he's my husband," they look SO embarrassed. LOL! I have to laugh at it, because I have more important things to cry about. Fact is I'm ten years older than Mark, and until a few years ago, we both look a lot younger than our ages. I actually got carded at age 33 and the manager came over to check my signature. So I'm used to looking and feeling young. I hiked the Rocky Mts at age 62. But...
All that youth and health ended a few years ago. When health goes, you get old-looking verrry fast. Stay healthy. Get everything checked out by a team of doctors. Eat right. Take care of yourself. You never know when illness and old age will strike. Funny thing about my "smoker's disease" (COPD). I'm not a smoker and didn't live with second hand smoke. So maybe all those precautions don't matter after all.

I always looked ten years younger or at least five than my age. The doctor who did the injections said I didn't look 72 and had good skin tone.
You're right about health. Without it, your options are few. Weird about COPD. Good thing you married a man young enough to take care of you. I think you look young and pretty in your picture.

Yoweee! It all sounds very painful, Spitfire - well, apart from the cheek fondling... that actually sounds quite nice!
A well structured 5-7-5, nicely presented.
Kindest regards, Debra :)

It gets better each week according to the ads. I had the juvederm volumna done today. A side effect for me was to lose some depth in my lines above my upper lip, so I'm pleased.

This poem was cute, straight to the point (no puns intended), and real. I read the one you wrote about the eye brows, etc. I figured it must have been a bit painful. I enjoyed this short little poem, my friend.
Always with respect,

No worse than the novacaine dentists inject. :-)

I so enjoyed the eyeliner and tattoo story (now saving up and hoping to sell more books to achieve it!) So this was a perfect addition to the idea of the creator lusting after someone he'd taken good money from to improve their looks. When is it okay to stop trying to look your best? God knows, but it's fun finding out!

A lot of women my age and older in this community are either lucky or had treatments of some kind. That's incentive for me!

I don't think I've ever do anything like this but it made me laugh. A girl I went to school with had an aunt get her breasts done and she had to stay at her house because my friends mom (the lady's sister) had to massage her breasts a couple times a day to make sure they didn't harden up for the first couple weeks. I understand why people do it but it's not for me.

NOw this is cute, and i have gone for fillers, you should think of one for the lip area. This gets funnier every time I read it.

Kisses for the six, joann. Yea, I made the front page. The lip area comes next. Actually the cheek job did soften those lines at the upper lip.

Fuckin' dirty old man alright. I love your Haiku or Senryu or whatever the hell it's called. Exceptionally original and crafted beautifully. Would have given you six stars but they tell me I've run out of them. Well done Spitfire. Warmest, Wendy.

Thanks, Wendy. As you see, I changed the title. Should I revert back to the original?? Decisions, decisions.

Well NOW I'm really discouraged, Spits! I was just looking in the mirror, noting all the lines fanning out from my lips thinking ... botox may not be a bad idea ... but pain???? oh NOOOOOO! even with the fondling!!!

I'm getting another juvederm treatment in a month for those lines plus the nose, mouth parentheses. The doctor says he'll numb my upper gum and I won't feel a thing after that!
Next is tattooing my mouth. I've had it done once fifteen years ago. More painful than the eyes. But I can do it if I know the pain doesn't last after the procedure.
