Hi sanky, this is a sad poem of days long gone when you could enjoy a long hot soak in the bath, I too suffer from vertigo which seems to have increased over the last two years.
Your sad lament for the missing bath touched my heart my friend.

I have to have someone watching as I get in and out of the tub. They have to watch as I get in and out of a chair. They have to dress me. My days of freedom are virtually over with.Very well written.

Wow, bro, and I thought I had it bad. My wife is helping me dress, as well! Sigh! Thanks for coming by.

I love baths with lots of hot water. Here in America they make walk in bathtubs for the elderly. You open a solid gate and walk in, close it, and it's water tight. You set on a safe seat so there's no falling. Don't know how expensive they are.

Yeah well reason I had the photo and said no more is the bath is gone now and we both have our own toilets as we both suffer diverticulosis and need our own potties. Thanks for coming by.

Hi, Geoff...
It's amazing what small things we don't realize how much we enjoy until we can not longer indulge.
I love, love my bath.
Cheers & Blessings

Yeah well sadly on our holiday trips we had to ensure there were no showers over baths as that was no good for Louise. Even if they had a bath and a shower that probably did not leave much move for the wheelchair in the bathroom as well. Thanks for coming by.

Good job of telling your story about not being able to take baths anymore. It is sad when we begin to not be able to do the things we did earlier in life. Cheer up my friend, just try to enjoy your shower.
