This is a masterpiece WJ and anyone can see the work you put into it with the trionic meter and catalexis lines. Your story was enchanting and you have wrapped it up with the all important Happy ending! That is the icing on the cake! Well done. :<) Nancy

Hi Debi,
I don't know if this story is going to continue; if not, it's quite a happy ending. You did such a good maintaining your meter throughout. In addition, you illustrated terrific prose skills.
Hugs,
Lou

Hi Lou. Right now I don't plan to continue the story, but I never expected it to be so long. I started it as a contest entry that was limited to 17 lines. It didn't make the contest. In fact, if I would have had any idea it was going to be so long I would have written it in prose.
Thank you so much for the gracious comments and the encouragement. I appreciate it. Debi

Gotta love a happy ending! I've only read the last couple of parts of this, but I have enjoyed the story as it reaches its climax.
The trochaic meter and rhyme seem to be perfectly regular and the writing error-free. Overall a lovely rhyming tale for young children.

Hi Steve. Thank you for the comments about the meter and rhyme. I am pleased you enjoyed the last couple of installments. I am surprised how long the verse got. My initial objective was to write 17 lines for one of the contests. It kind of got out of hand?.I appreciate you stopping by to read and review. Debi

It was like taking out a children's book and reading it to my grandchildren. Most admirably done. It moved so smoothly and so very quickly, it was over way too soon. Excellent wordings, excellent job all around. Thank you for sharing this 'Wonderland'.

Debi; Near notable alliteration in "favorite form", "spinning storm", "wild winds", "Lady Lily" and "Luke and Lily". This six is not only for the ending but for all of your poems that caressed your idea and imagination which is truly inventive and ingeniously creative. Your imagery was truly demonstratively descriptive and expertly expressive throughout your poems. Evidently and truly good has surpassed evil and a triumph that unbeknownst to the evil wizard magic has overcome him.
I enjoyed reading all of your excerpts and poetry chapters of this wonderful tale within a poem. Thank you for sharing and posting and may the Lord be with you always.

You do a solid job interweaving your themes of fantasy using trochaic meter, which is a meter I have not heard about until now. The poem reads like an epic story and the rhythm is not bouncy like one might expect when reading the definition of trochaic meter.

Thank you for the encouraging review. I hadn't heard of the trochaic meter either until I took a poetry class on the site and was introduced to it and other meters I hadn't heard of. This series was my first attempt at the trochaic meter. The verse did end up being a lot longer than I anticipated. I thought 17 lines would do it. Instead it was 6 mini chapters. I appreciate the comments about the rhythm not being bouncy. I was trying to stick to meter, but not make it too sing song-y. Thank you for reading and reviewing.

Thank you, Jax. I am happy you enjoyed this little mini-series. I only meant for it to be one poem and the characters just kind of took over, if you know what I mean. I appreciate the encouragement. Debi
