HAHA!
Very true to life crazy habit, described with wit, Debs.
I do too, in the hope it will get rid of the thing, but of course it just takes longer to heal as a result.
Ooooh...I just 'spotted' another one. "Take that! Huh, that'll teach you!" ;-)
Cheers, Ray xx

Hi Ray :) Do we ALL do it then?! Don't make it sore!
I meant the poem in both the literal and metaphoric way - I just can't let old wounds heal if you know what I mean - I'm my own worst enemy at times... Glad to see you changed your minds about prompt sponsorship - I might have a crack at your latest ;)
Bye for now, Debs x

I was too busy smiling and empathising, to appreciate the very clever metaphor, Debs.
I think many women dwell on things longer than men. Thankfully, I have a short memory, so that helps too. :-)
Thanks for your kind contest comments, and I hope you enter.
Ray xx

Hahahahaha---How did you know I do that ALL the time. I can never leave anything alone while it heals, be it a scab, an argument, or even an entire relationship. The artwork you chose is fabulous.

G'day Debra. I am rapidly becoming a fan of these little pieces of poetry when one jumps off the page at me that says as much as this one does. Well done, cheers Fez

I think that a pretty common habit--whether you're talking
literally or metaphorically. It's not easy to get
your mind--or fingers--to leave something that bothers you.
I think it's a trait we all live with.
Peace, Lee
