There is excellent imagery here in your little haiku.. with the stray dog slinking away. An excellent entry, I wish you luck I this contest!

Stray dog needs to get with other stray dogs to huddle so don't get so cold

This is a thought-provokinh and cleverly written haiku, Debs.
Maybe I'm way off base, but my interpretation is the 'stray dog', who should be in charge of the pigeons, doesn't like being shat on by them.
Even if I'm wrong, thanks for the fun visual.
I love wood pigeons but hate their bedraggled looking cousins who hang around train stations bobbing their necks up and down.
Good luck and best wishes, Ray xx

Hah! Love your interpretation, Ray! My thought was that the greedy pigeons have eaten all the scraps and got comfy and the stray's slinking off in a huff! Thanks for your great feedback :) cheers, debs xx

Of course - I can see it now, Debs.
I stopped feeding 'stray' PIGEONS, as they always followed me home. ;-) xx
