This meets the contest requirements wonderfully by delivering a simple means by which to erase unnecessary stress from your life. Your Dad was a very wise man. I wish you all the best in the voting and thank you so much for sharing this with me.

I can see how this principle would be helpful since it can apply to many kinds of problems. It's nice to have a thumbnail bit of advice to fall back on quickly. Thanks for joining the contest with this excellent entry. Good luck to you, Jeanie Mercer

Great story that you wrote for the prompt. Your father gave you the advice: stop,
start and change. If you have problems at your work. Sounds sensible to me. Best wishes for the prompt.

Your dad was a wise man. Well done on this piece. I love the advice. Three well chosen words that empower, which is the only way to affect change.

Hi there,
Have you noticed that the best advice always seems to come from parents. I hope one day that is me for my daughter - but I doubt it!

Cool advice..my dad was more visual .took us to a tree where a thrush was tossing her babies out of the nest..he said that's what I will do to you. You fly the nest and can't come back once you marry. I was sixteen..never forgot it
God bless

Excellent advice from your very realistic Dad, Mary.
With respect, in view of the low amount of words allowed, I suggest re-thinking the repetition of:
'When I (and in 2nd sentence 'he') was having a problem in my place of work.
Best wishes, and good luck, Ray xx

This sounds like a sound principle. But presumably would apply only to someone with some level of authority. But that's where it's needed, of course. Good luck with the contest.
