Hi Robina, I really enjoyed reading this wonderful story of family life at home at Christmas, you have captured the spirit well and also yo are teaching children that it is better to give than recieve.

You have captured the true spirit of a sharing and loving Christmas in your
family, as likely is similar to many all over. So sweetly you share the joy
of giving your kids relished as much as they did receiving their gifts,
making Granny happy, and everybody else happily joining in on the
holiday goodies celebrations. Thanks for sharing...and Merry Christmas
to you and all your family! Blessings for a truly blessed New Year too.
Blessings, Ronni Love your artwork too.

A nice impression of the celebration of Christmas, Ine. You described very well, this celebration in peace and harmony. IIt's a pleasure to share the presents. Receiving is nice, but giving gives more satisfaction when you see those happy faces. In my opinion you wrote it very well. Nice flow and I can't find an error. Well done, girl!! Fia

A lovely Christmas story Ine. Of course Mum and Dad spoil their quests - that is what parents do at Christmas and we are so lucky to have an abundance of food. You are so right - there is as much pleasure in giving as there is receiving of gifts. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Warm regards Dorothy x

'Tis better to give than to receive, Ine, I agree wholeheartedly. It gives us so much more joy to see the faces and hear the exclamations of joy and excitement when they are coming from another to our ears than vice versa.

Thank you for sharing this slice of your personal rendition of one family's Christmas experience. It was very nice.

On Christmas Eve, each child was allowed to open one gift. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a good read. Merry Christmas to you and yours, Ine. Charlie

Aunt Ineke and uncle Bram Capitalize Aunt and Uncle as it forms part of the title

Now I want to give gran a present! capitalize Gran

"Here you are, gran", Nikki says--capitalize Gran

They are nice [and] warm slippers in .omit in
Could simply say--They are nice warm slippers- no need to have and

She gives Nikki a big kiss and putS ON the slippers [on]
Never end a sentence with a proposition

Nikki is happy that Gran is so pleased with her present.Capital G in Gran

A good description of how Christmas Day goes in most families
Happy Holidays to your whole family

This is well written my friend, just a few things I picked up on. Firstly the over use of 'presents'. It is very repetitive, why not say toys or gifts ect. The second thing is the line about the children finally getting to the part they like. The way you wrote it was slightly clumsy. How about ' the children tore open their gifts. This was the best part of the day.' Thank you for sharing.

Hello Ine,

You are so right. Is is nice to receive presents but it gives you such a warm feeling when someone is happy with the present you give them.

Nicely done

Kind regards

Sarah
