A lovely Christmas story Ine. Of course Mum and Dad spoil their quests - that is what parents do at Christmas and we are so lucky to have an abundance of food. Never end a sentence with a proposition

Nikki is happy that Gran is so pleased with her present.Capital G in Gran

This is well written my friend, just a few things I picked up on. Firstly the over use of 'presents'. It is very repetitive, why not say toys or gifts ect. The second thing is the line about the children finally getting to the part they like. The way you wrote it was slightly clumsy. How about ' the children tore open their gifts. This was the best part of the day.' Thank you for sharing.
