Wonderful 3/5/3 poem - I could find no "rules" fault.
Very creative take on this prompt.
Blowing out birthday candles and making a wish.
Loved the "delicious anticipation" line.
And "Airborne wish" ending was perfect.
Strong contender for the contest.

What could be better use of air that in blowing out birthday candles? Much easier for the younger set, as it's too embarrassing for older people to have to count the candles. Your 3-5-3 count is right on, and the presentation is attractive. This is a clever take on the "air" prompt. Best of luck in the contest. Love the artwork too. judi

Your poem is in good 3/5/3 syllable count and pairs well with the artwork - I do wish, however, that it not be so dependent on the art for its meaning. I wouldn't know what it was about if only the text were printed. Brooke

Thank you, Brooke for your feedback. I appreciate your comments :) if the contest had stipulated I artwork allowed, I would have chosen different words to illustrate the meaning! I do entirely agree with you by the way! Kindest regards as always...

I was holding my breath, waiting to blow out the candles, but at my age, it would take a long time. I'd probably pass out. You did fantastic! Good Luck!
