You would do some wonderful things with your super powers:) I would like many of those things to happen. I hope your poem does/did well in the contest.

Oh, come on. What about x-ray vision? Yes, it would be great to don that cape and do all things altruistic, but surely you would. I would...as long as I could turn it off (cellulite and Bermuda shorts...brrrrr).

Thanks for your review. I had several more lines I wanted to include, especially X-ray vision, but the sponsor only allowed 120 words, so I had to keep it short. Thanks again. Bill

How wonderful it is to be able to escape into one's mind and dream of all the wonderful what-ifs.
The picture made me smile. My daughter has a huge crush on superman!
Worldwide hunger and child predators are uppermost on my list too.
Best wishes in the contest, Bill. :)
Have a lovely week!

Thank you so much my friend for your excellent review, I appreciate it. Yes, it is fun to daydream of all the wonderful things you could do, if you possessed his powers. Have a great day and week also. Bill

Superman's powers - add apostrophe for possessive
solid use of abcb rhyme
good alliteration in weapons of war
and fly food
I like the proximate rhyme of pity/guilty
strong use of illustrative examples :-) Brooke

Good use of the sonnet rhyme scheme. Good end rhyming. Good alliteration with weapons/war...would/worldwide...fly/food...where/would...them/there...we/wish. My favorite lines are the last two lines in the second stanza.

I love this very creative and original take on the super power prompt. I like that you used exactly 120 words, and you did it in a way that it doesn't feel forced or stretched.
Nicely done and good luck with the contest.

I wish that you had superpowers too! I like the line about locking in the world leaders until they cried peace. A fun poem about escaping reality and doing good deeds, Bravo Judester

If you look up in the sky and see something, just remember, it's not a bird or an airplane, it's just me out saving the world...

This is a great and powerful poem and is a strong entry for the contest. Good luck. I liked the lines below the best:
"I would gather all the world leaders,
put them together and lock the door
And not let them out until they agreed,
there would never be another war"

Hi Bill :) Thank you for entering the contest!
I love this entry. Just the tiniest bit of your super-power and the world would be improved no end. I agree with everything you said, it's a shame the world's 'leaders' aren't so imaginative and put an end to the pointless warring.
I also enjoyed your presentation of the poem.
A very strong entry - Good luck in the booth. Kindest regards as always, Debra :)

Thank you Debra for your nice comments, I appreciate your thoughts. Also, thank you for sponsoring this contest. It's great just to write about something different now and then. I do fear for the future of our children. Can you imagine what this world will be like in 25 to 50 years from now. All I can say is, "God help us all." Take care of yourself Debra and have a wonderful day my friend. Bill

I love the message in your poem
It would be great if this could happen.
I like the way your poem flows. to bad life has to be so harsh and cruel.
