This is nicely done. Your words encourage the reader to hope for another spring.
We didn't crowd each other out
we shared the sun and rain
Relationships whether marriage is involved or not, require "for better or worse". You have chosen a clever way to remind the reader of this.
Nice job!!

Thank you for the kind review. I think it is something, that as a society, is slowly being chipped away.

I would definitely say this is a "wow!" Budding love to mature love using the flower garden comparison works beautifully. All lines are wonderful, but particularly like the second stanza and the first two lines of the third.

A beautiful view on the cycle of life that a relationship endures through time's passage! I love how the writer compared the stages of a relationship falling in love, growing through the years as a couple, and finally passing, to the stages of growth of a plant from seedling through to wilting flower losing its petals. A creative and fitting comparison! The word choice elicits beautiful images of a budding flower and budding relationship. Well thought out, good fluidity in the poem, and a touching tribute to true love! Well done!

thank you for the detailed stellar review. Had my sister and her husband in mind when I wrote it.
