Hi Sankey, a very well written poem about suffering from writer's block. You expresses it so very well here. It is not nice when it happens. A great rhyming poem. All the best. Ulla:))

I don't really know what the cure is Geoff, perhaps reasoning with the unreasonable might help. But you've got a bible look in proverbs, or Psalms, I've found Ecclesiastes useful, but there are lots of tragic things in the world going on...ask God. But here's hoping Geoff, well done, blessings, Roy

I would say your poem about writer's block ended the problem because this poem is very well written. I'm sorry, I missed it the first time around. I hate when I do that.

Yes this one raises a chuckle - not as easy to unblock as a blocked drain or pipe-invisible blocks I guess are the hardest to shift LOL

How true. Good thing is it was like a good do=se of Draino and it did unblock me. I remembered where I wanted to go and have now started on my first fiction. Nice to meet you hope we see each other around. Thanks for the great review.

You've touched on something that affects all of us who try to write. Great rhyme that you have going in this. Brainstorming often works. Sometimes it takes a change of scenery. Just getting away from the computer for a while can be refreshing and may lead to some new ideas. Great sound with key and release. It would be great if there was a magic key to use. judi

thanks for coming by appreciate the review. Possibly opening up a new direction with my first fictional story. As you know we all have some fact in our fictions so who knows where it will go??

Hi, Sankey. You're welcome. Venturing into some new area--that's a good move. judi

Not real sure of a name yet. Can I give something a name then change it later?
reply by judiverse on 31-Jan-2014
Hi, Sankey. I liked that title. Sure, you can change a name and then edit. judi

This is an apt piece of writing from the author in this post. We all have those moments when the words are just not flowing. Luckily for me, they only last a few days, and do not impact that much, but writers block can strike at any time.

I'm sure a lot of writers can identify with this, but my mind is always racing, so I rarely have that problem. My problem is not having enough time to write down all of my ideas. Bought a recorder so now if something pops into my head I just keep a record of it. lol

Yeah I bought little hand held for just that purpose. Never used it hehe. I know the feeling of a thought racing through and I either have to write it down right then or put it on my white board here in the study. Good onya and thanks for the review.

I am not sure I believe in writer's block, but I do know it can sometimes be difficult to go to the next scene, to understand how to do it.

There have been stories that rolled around in my head for years before I figured out how to tell them ( Sveta's tale is one such), but this is different to me than writer's block.

Nice piece here. Looking forward to where it goes
